The Islanders completed one of their most successful seasons in quite some time making it to postseason play. The Islanders lost in the opening round to eventual league Champion Issaquah. The early playoff exit did not diminish what was a breakthrough year for the club. The Islanders got on quite a roll during the season and at one point were rank in the top ten in the State poll. The respect the team earned was demonstrated in the large number of players who receive postseason honors. |

The leadership provided by the 11 seniors on the Varsity squad will be missed, but the club remains optimistic that the returning players will be very competitive in the new Kingco 3A division set to debut in 2009. |
