| Sam Hale
Head Coach - Junior Varsity
Entering his 8th year with the Islander staff, Sam will lead the JV team for the third year. A 2000 graduate of MIHS, Sam was second-team All-Kingco shortstop his senior year. He played college baseball at Cerro Coso CC.
Sam works in a family Packing & Shipping business. His parents, one of whom is a MIHS graduate and 3 siblings live in the Seattle area.

| Tim Sipiora
Pitching Coach - Junior Varsity
Tim will assist Sam Hale with the JV team in his 6th year on the MIHS staff. He has also been active coaching summer youth teams the last few years. A 1999 graduate of Mercer Island, Tim went on to the University of Washington, receiving a BA in Accounting, Finance and Entrepreneurship in 2003. He played for Mercer Island for 4 years, including 2 years of Varsity ball. His brother, a former MI Baseball assistant, graduated from MI in 2001.

| Joe McIntosh
Assistant Coach - Junior Varsity
This is Joe’s third season with the Jr. Varsity team. He is a 2000 graduate of MIHS. He pitched for the high school team and played legion ball over the summers. Joe will be focusing most of his attention on the JV pitchers this season.
He is the oldest of the three kids, and his brother John also pitched for MIHS. His dad, Joe, pitched professionally for the Padres and Astros, and has also assisted for the MIHS team and various local summer teams. Joe still lives and works on Mercer Island.
